Cartier and Expo 2020 Dubai will be collaborating together to present the
Women’s Pavilion at the Expo.
The pavilion, which seeks to amplify voices of all women across the world, is being
supported by well-known women’s rights campaigners, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka – United
Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women and Amal Clooney,
an international human rights lawyer.
The Pavilion will highlight the impactful contribution of women in society through their
achievements, past and present, which have driven forward economies and enhanced their
communities.
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and
Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, said: “The Women’s Pavilion highlights the
crucial roles that women have long played as linchpins of their communities and drivers of
economies, and underscores Expo 2020 Dubai’s firm commitment to empowering all women
to drive their own development and create a better future for us all.”
In spirit of the The World’s Greatest Show’s theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the
Future’, the Pavilion will also focus on exhaustive wealth of expertise among women that
help empower global citizens, apart from tracing the journey of women’s empowerment and
gender equality through its various contributors, milestones and the challenges that women
continue to face even today.
