Frederique Constant celebrates the 10 years of its in-house calibre – Heart Beat Manufacture

In the presence of the employees of the Brand, its customers and journalists, the Geneva-based watchmaker Frederique Constant celebrated recently the 10 years of its calibre the “Heart Beat Manufacture”, now an iconic signature of the Brand, in the famous Building « Bâtiment des Forces Motrices » (BFM), Geneva – Switzerland.

“Following the success of the launch of the first Heart Beat Manufacture Calibre in 2004, Frederique Constant has presented regularly an additional version to its Heart Beat Manufacture range. The main feature remained constant, the signature and patented aperture, perfectly centred at the 6 o’clock position. Each year, new design features have been added; the Heart Beat has been constantly revised, updated and technically advanced,” says Mr. Madhusinh Jesrani, General Manager, Khimji’s Watches.

Guests were welcomed in the magnificent machines space of the BFM, where they were able to discover the new traveling Manufacture Exhibition with its luxurious thematic trunks, presenting the various collections; an exhibition that will begin its world tour from June.

During the official presentation, which took place in the big theater, staged artists redrew the history of the brand since its creation, as well as the ten years of development of the in-house calibres of the Frederique Constant Manufacture. In these ten years, not less than fifteen in-house calibres were developed, produced, assembled and offered to its enthusiastic customers worldwide.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Peter Stas, CEO and co-founder of the brand, revisited Frederique Constant’s brand-building over the past ten years, with a watches production reaching over 135’000 pieces this year, among which 18’000 movements will be in-house handcrafted.

Besides paying tribute to the Frederique Constant Team, Peter Stas revealed two new timepieces in the Manufacture collection, specially edited for this tenth anniversary: a new Heart Beat Manufacture Silicium FC-942, edited to 188 in 18K rose gold and to 18 pieces in platinum, as well as a new Slimline Tourbillon Manufacture FC-980, proposed for the occasion with a dark green finishing and limited to 10 pieces in 18K rose gold and to 10 pieces in stainless steel. Peter Stas said “We are very proud to present this year two new in-house calibres, featuring an innovative escapement in Silicium that brings now our number of calibres developed, produced and assembled in-house to 15. Thank you for your continued support.”
