ROLEX rewards Jordan Smith, winner of the 2016 Road to Oman Rankings title, with Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer watch

On November 5, Rolex presented an Oyster Perpetual Explorer watch to Jordan Smith, title winner of the 2016 Road to Oman Rankings at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final at Almouj Golf, The Wave. Hritik Khimji, Director of Khimji Ramdas Group, which includes Khimji’s Watches – the sole Rolex retailer in Oman – participated in the prizegiving.

Hailing from England, Smith succeeded in winning the Road to Oman honours thanks to his outstandingly consistent performance throughout the season, while the season-finale crown of the NBO GOLF CLASSIC GRAND FINAL went to Bernd Ritthammer. Rolex, the leading name in luxury watches and a flagship brand of Khimji’s Watches, is the Official Timekeeper of this event, as part of its support for the Challenge Tour and for the future champions of golf. The Road to Oman helps talented golfers — names like Martin Kaymer and Thorbjørn Olesen, both Rolex Testimonees — to develop and grow to become the sport’s elite.

The 2016 NBO Golf Classic Grand Final event began with a Pro Am tournament, in which aspiring amateur golfers from Oman teamed up with professionals to compete for the Pro Am title. ROLEX teams also participated in this competition.
