Dive in luxury with the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller in a yellow Rolesor
version
The name Rolesor has been synonymous with the brand since 1933 when the
name was registered to the brand. A marriage of gold and steel, Rolesor combines the
nobility and lustre of the former with the strength and reliability of the latter to mirror the
elegance and performance that has been the signature of a Rolex watch over the years.
This year, Rolex outdoes itself with the new Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller in a yellow
Rolesor version, combining Oystersteel and 18K yellow gold. This is the first time 18K gold
has been introduced in the Sea-Dweller range for the first time.
The unidirectional rotatable bezel with a 60-minute graduated Cerachrom insert in black
ceramic, winding crown with Triplock triple waterproofness system and centre links of the
bracelet are in 18K yellow gold, while the 43mm case and outer links of the bracelet are in
Oystersteel.
The name ‘Sea-Dweller’ firmly stamps itself on the black dial in a yellow hue, mirroring the
colour of the precious metal. True to its name, the Sea-Dweller’s Oyster case is waterproof to
a depth of 1,220m (4,000 feet) and provides optimum protection for the Sea-Dweller’s high-
precision movement. The helium escape valve, patented by Rolex in 1967, acts as a safety
valve. It allows excess pressure built up in the watch case during a dive to escape during a
diver’s decompression phase in a hyperbaric chamber, while preserving the waterproofness
of the watch.
The new version of the Sea-Dweller is equipped with calibre 3235, a new-generation
movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Made of nickel-phosphorus, it is
insensitive to magnetic interference and is equipped with a self-winding module via a
Perpetual rotor. Thanks to its barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency, the
power reserve of calibre 3235 extends to approximately 70 hours.
This magnificent timepiece is the perfect two-tone accessory for the gentleman who likes
sophistication and class whether he is on land or under the sea!
